Why is ACE Midland Gate now ACE HOYTS Midland Gate? ACE Cinemas have entered a joint venture agreement with HOYTS at their Midland Gate cinema, commencing from October 5, 2023. The cinema will be rebranded as ACE HOYTS Midland Gate. An enhanced offer will form part of the joint venture, with refurbishments planned for the site in the coming months.
Will the Midland Gate cinema be closed while it is being renovated? No, when renovations commence in 2024, the cinema will continue to operate but at a reduced capacity as individual cinemas and the complex is refurbished. Although there will be some disruption, we expect this to be minimal.
